so, heres is my present for all Hollyhock users who are using AKAI's APC mini.

http://www.sensomusic.org/downloadaddon ... uencer.zip

and short demo how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmn8eJYEe9s

this is just first very basic version. in my head there are some elements which i want to implement.

hopefully probably will port it for novation launchpad too.

So just uploaded new version - check addons section for AKAI APC grid sequencer v2
full GUI <-> controller communication - fixed some issues, and optimised some scripts. This addon works as well as standalone controlled just from GUI, you don't need even APC mini to run this patch, but it is much more user friendly to controll it with hardware.

new features
- euclidean rhythm generator
- reverse mode for each track
- clear track
- shift track by number of steps
- clear whole page from controller

video tutorial coming soon so for now just picture describing how it works

Image

in the track
- pushing the button turns note on/off
- when the shift key is pressed - turn accent on note on/off (if note is turned off, it will turn it on with accent)
- color codes: green - note on, orange note on with accent, pad off= note off
- when cursor is on cell: green - current cursor position on note off, yellow - current cursor position on note on, red - current cursor position on accented note

when track is selected in track selector - you see euclid rhythm generator configuration.
- green - number of pulses (select by pressing the pad)
- orange - number of accents (select by pressing the pad, and shift button)
- red - accents=pulses

shifting of track works just on selected tracks.

track selection/reverse/euclid generate/clear track works just on focused page.

so, the old APC mini grid sequencers are removed.
and there is arGRID instead of them.

whats new:
- nicer GUI (imho)
- multiple routing for each page - check the button in the header of the patch
- patches rewritten to polyphonic patches
- tempo selector for each track (this is controllable just from GUI)
- fixed some bugs

in the uploaded pack there is a version for Novation Launchpad as well - you can see there the Launchpad/APC pack of patches and scripts in action and how to use them. as the Launchpad hardware is limited and slower in comparison of APC mini there are some quirks in the visual feedback on Launchpad.

Hello Drakh,

First! I would like to Thank you a Lot! About the arGRID with APC Mini !

Also
I actually want to play with the "arGRID" and at the same time play with the sounds and the visuals made by the "Physical Groove" from Usine.
I already played with the "Matrix Groove" from Usine and the "Physical Groove" at the same time. I like the sound from the Matrix Groove but i can try something else with your sequencer. I can't use and try all the options yet. So I want to explore in your sequencer. But unfortunately you have to know. Take your sit to be stable... I don't know how to put sounds in any sequencers.
Is it working only with vst ? Do i Have to use one of the 8 Bus ?

Tercio
I have an APC Mini. And you too. So they join us... Amen.
I like the "Physical Groove Patch" from usine. and i have putted some "Mute" "Buttons" in the 8 Physics Groove's "Sub Patch" to control the little bubble gummes. I like it. It's cool. But i can't control at the same time your sequencer and the "Buttons". Because the APC "Mini" for the moment...
Do i have to write in the code of the "Page Chooser" module contained in the arGrid patch ? Because i don't know how to read it well... So... write in... you can imagine...

Thank you for reading.

hello there. so how it works.

first you had to have one rack where input device is your APC mini (in), and output device is the same APC mini (out) (just in case if you have more than one apc mini connected)

then the only [atch in this rack is arGRID.

the sequencer sends the data into midi buses - there is a popup window (you can open it by the settings button in the header) where you can rout each page of the sequencer into MIDI bus. each track of the page send note on event on when step is active, in the green area you can setup which note the track sends, the base velocity, and "accented" velocity.

so in another rack you have to connect your device do desired midi bus to recieve steps from arGRID. basically the sequencer is designed to trigger sounds of VSTs, but of course if your patch supports triggering sounds by midi events it can work with that patch too. or you can transform the notes coming from midi bus into some other events to trigger matrix groove or physical groove, it is up to you what that midi notes going from sequencer triggers. i had one setup when i was feeding the notes into VST drum machine, and at the same time i was transforming them in another rack into OSC signals to controll visuals running in browser ;) (usine sending OSC, nodejs server listening to that OSC signals, sending them thru websockets into browser, and in browser there was running javascript application listening to websocekts)

hopefully this helps you to achieve what you want
