Okay, every time I read the new features for a major release, I ask myself: features, smeatures, how long will it take before I can run my setup under the new version?

Usine1->2. 6 months (at 10-12 hrs a week.)
Usine2->3 2 months
Usine3->4 1 week
Usine4->5 15 minutes

All I can say, is WOW, Usine HAS grown up. Hello backwards compatibility!

Not only is it running my setup perfectly, I was able to move from 128 to 64 samples, due to increased efficiency! CPU reads 50%, but I do not seem to be getting dropouts.

I spent most of the winter figuring out how to move my setup to Reaper, only to find out it was incapable of hosting my list of VSTs, even without the gui running. While I love writing in LUA, and was able to create a great version of my GUI using it, Reaper totally crashed and burned with the realtime requirements of running a bunch of VSTs. Surprising, as Reaper seems to be very leanly and cleanly coded. In any case, it's obvious that Olivier's RT multi-threading chops are best in class!

I have never been happier to be running this software!
