Hidden Strings

Like a lot of softwares, Usine contains hidden strings commands. To use hidden strings just type the word anywhere in an Usine's window. For example you can type QUIT to quit Usine immediately.

• Hidden strings are key insensitive.
• Retype the same hidden string to cancel the effect except for QUIT, REBOOT, SHUTDOWN.
• Waiting more than 2 sec between two keystroke cancels the hidden string process. It means that you have to type the string quickly...

General

QUIT

Shutdown the Audio driver and quit Usine immediately without saving the current workspace. Can be used to quit as fast as possible.

CONSOLE

Displays the inspector-console tab console.

LOG

Displays the inspector-log tab log.

SAVELOG

Prompt for save the log file (on an external drive).

INSPECTOR

Displays the inspector-panel.

TRACE

Displays the trace-panel.

GOD

Toggles Usine in "god" mode. See setup-panel-tab-expert.

DEFAULTSIZE

Resize the main window to its default value.

FULLSCREEN

Toggles the fullscreen State of Usine.

MAINON

Turns the main Usine engine ON.

MAINOFF

Turns the main Usine engine OFF.

SETUP

Shows or hide the setup panel.

Benchmark

BENCHMONO

Launch the benchmark mono-core to estimate the power of the computer.

BENCHMULTI

Launch the benchmark multi-core to estimate the power of the computer.

BENCHBLOC

Launch the benchmark for DSP bloc calculation.

CPUSTRESS

Launch the a CPU stress procedure. Start a process which consume 100% of CPU in order to test the computer stability.

Debug

MESSAGES

Traces the messages queue capacity.

LOCKTIMEOUT

Add a timeout in critical the section lock procedure. ()

IDERRORS

Test duplicated ID's and preset-ID's and for memory corruption.

TRACENAME

Traces all captions changes. Can be useful for debugging complex patch which modifies captions of parameters in real time and avoid endless, and CPU hungry loops.

Windows special commands

REBOOT

Reboots the computer without any prompt (dangerous command...).

SHUTDOWN

Shutdown the computer without any prompt (dangerous command...).

UPDATE

When Usine has been launched with the update-agent, it shows the update-agent interface. Not available on all Usine's versions

EXPLORER

Launches the Windows explorer.exe application.
