Usine Update-Agent

The update-agent is a small utility software which can be used in autonomous installations (kiosk). The purpose of this application is to allow the possibility to update Usine or the workspaces with an USB key or a FTP client.

The update-agent is an application which must be located in the package folder and can replace the usine.exe in the the root folder.

When the update-agent is launched, Usine starts automatically as a background task. To show the update-agent window, type the hidden-strings UPDATE.

Update by FTP

This section concerns the possibility to update Usine and workspaces with a FTP client.

Just set enable FTP and set user name and password.

Then connect the FTP client on port 21 with the user name and the password.

When a FTP client is connected, Usine quits automatically and when the client is disconnected, the computer restarts.

Update with an USB key

This section concerns the possibility to update Usine and workspaces with files located on an USB key. It can facilitate the update of your installation, especially in kiosk mode.

The USB key must respect a precise file structure (file tree) with at least one of the following folders.

• /Deploy Contains workspaces to be deployed.
• /Usine Contains the fresh dezip of Usine package to be installed.

Insert the USB key, the Update-agent will show a new import button.
